The Blackie Series features a black bear from the mountains of North Georgia. Blackie has observed the life around Big Canoe and has decided he would like to enjoy his days being part of that happy life. He's doing his best to be part of that life and not being noticed...he's trying to fit in. The paintings are featured at the Black Bear Pub at Lake Sconti in Big Canoe and at Lakota Cove near Big Canoe.
John Feight, a self-taught artist, captures the passage of time with landscapes and portraits. He has been painting for over four decades. Through his journey as an artist, John started the Foundation for Hospital Art, whose work has created over 35,000 paintings for more than 2,000 hospitals in 193 countries. John's work can be purchased and viewed via appointment only.
